HOISINGTON – The Clara Barton Hospital Auxiliary, led by Marty Schloemer, hosted the Hoisington Chamber of Commerce coffee Thursday morning at the Hospital’s west conference room.

The major fundraiser this year is a quilt raffle. A colorful 72x72-inch quilt was made and donated by Clara Barton Pink Lady Jeanette Sidman. Tickets are six for $5 or one for $1.

They are available from any Auxiliary member or at the front desk of the hospital. The winner will be drawn at the Nov. 16, Hoisington Chamber coffee.

The Auxiliary began in the early 1960s and continues today with eight volunteers. The Pink Ladies help at the front desk of the Hospital every morning, Monday through  Friday. They assist visitors and patients in many ways that include guiding them to surgery, the cafeteria or places in between.

The ladies also raise funds that are used for the Jonathan Witt and Sadie Stalcup scholarships, and to provide patient copies of the Great Bend Tribune.
