In addition to in-person visits, Clara Barton Hospital and Clinics are now offering tele-health appointments, which allows patients the ability to be seen by their medical provider in the comfort and safety of their own home, said Clara Barton Hospital President/CEO Jim Blackwell.
Tele-health visits are secure online appointments conducted via video conference. This convenient service allows patients who have regularly scheduled appointments and would rather not come to the clinic at this time, to talk with their provider via video chat.
“At Clara Barton Hospital and Clinics we understand the seriousness of the COVID-19 virus and are taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and employees,” said Blackwell. “Although we are taking precautions, it is still important that we are caring for our patients’ everyday medical needs and understand that patients still need to talk to their providers about regular health issues that extend beyond COVID-19. Tele-health visits allow us to continue to provide the personalized care our patients are used to, while protecting them from the possible spread of the virus.”
Tele-health visits are available for patients at all Clara Barton Medical Clinic locations and with all Clara Barton Medical Clinic Providers. To have a virtual visit, a patient just needs to have a mobile device, tablet or computer with a camera and internet connection.
“We want our patients and the entire community to know we are here for you in every way we can be, whether that’s in person or online, and will continue to be here to care for you as we weather this storm together,” said Blackwell.
