It should take about a year to build the new Clara Barton Medical Clinic in Great Bend. A groundbreaking ceremony was held recently to mark the beginning of construction on the facility that will be located just south of the intersection of 10th and McKinley Streets. Clara Barton Foundation Director Michelle Moshier said the new building will offer more health-care options for people in Great Bend. Moshier said progress is being made in furnishing the clinic. The foundation created an adopt-a-room campaign to pay for exam tables, patient chairs, and medical devices.  The Great Bend clinic’s grand opening is expected to take place next spring.
