LARNED — Diversicare of Larned held its annual Thanksgiving dinner for residents and their families on Thursday, Nov. 17. The dinner took place at the center, located at 1114 W. 11th St. in Larned.
The dinner included turkey, ham and all the Thanksgiving trimmings for $5 a plate. Or, guests had the option of bringing a canned good as payment for the meal. The center served 198 plates and, as a result, collected five boxes of canned goods for the Pawnee County Food Pantry.
It’s the third year Diversicare of Larned has donated canned goods, collected at its Thanksgiving dinner, to the Pawnee County Food Pantry. The food items were hand-delivered by Diversicare team members.
“This was another fantastic show of support from our residents and families. It really helped bring out the spirit of the holidays in all of us,” said Bryan Stacey, administrator.
Diversicare is proud to support the Pawnee County Food Pantry in its efforts to feed the hungry this holiday season, Stacey said.
