Dollar Tree national programs COURTESY PHOTO Dollar Tree has two national programs (Operation Champion and Operation Home Front) per year to help the families of the military service members. In the late summer Dollar Tree collects and donates for the back to school needs of military families. In the fall they collect and donate toys for the children during the Christmas season. The Great Bend Dollar Tree collected and distributed to three local military units, the National Guard located based at the Great Bend Municipal Airport, and the two Army Reserve Units out of Great Bend.
