KDOT announces approved August bids

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting took place Aug. 17 in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.
District One – Northeast
Atchison - 59 3 KA 4367 01 - Pavement marking on U.S. 59, pavement marking, 0.7 mile, Action Safety Supply Co., Oklahoma City, Ok, $74,137.63/
Doniphan - 36 22 KA 4366 01 - Pavement marking on U.S. 36, pavement marking, 5.4 miles, Action Safety Supply Co., Oklahoma City, Ok, $137,819.36.
Riley - 113 81 KA 4375 01 – K-113, beginning at the K 18/K 113 junction north to the U.S.24/K 113 junction, milling and overlay, 5.6 miles, Shilling Construction Co Inc & Shilling Asphalt Inc., Manhattan, Ks, $1,993,671.50.
Shawnee - 75 89 KA 4374 01 – U.S. 75, bridge #279 and #280 (46th Street roundabout), bridge repair, Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., Topeka, Ks, $77,752.58.

Statewide - 106 KA 4400 01 - Various locations in District Two RAP sampling - Cloud County, Ellsworth County, Geary County and Washington County, milling, Dustrol Inc., Towanda, Ks, $10,755.07.

Decatur - 36 20 KA 4299 01 – U.S. 36, beginning at the Rawlins/Decatur county line east 11.0 miles to the start of the Portland Cement Concrete Pavement in Oberlin, milling and overlay, 11.0 miles, APAC Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Ks, $1,246,241.96.
Rawlins - 25 77 KA 4298 01 – K-25, beginning at the U.S. 36/K 25 junction north 13.2 miles to the Kansas/Nebraska state line, surfacing, 13.2 miles, Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., Topeka, Ks, $766,141.35.
Statewide - 106 KA 4303 01 – I-70, beginning 0.1 mile east of the I 70/K 253 Interchange then east 7.9 miles to the Sherman/Thomas county line; K-253, beginning at the south radius of I 70 north 0.7 mile to the Old U.S. 24/K 253 junction; and I-70, beginning at the Sherman/Thomas county line east 0.5 mile, ultra thin bonded asphalt surfacing, 9.0 miles, APAC Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Ks, $1,595,496.40.
District Five – South Central

District Six – Southwest
Gray - 50 35 KA 4317 01 – U.S. 50, from the Gray/Finney county line east to the west Cimarron city limits, milling and overlay, 18.1 miles, APAC Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, KS, $2,531,080.52.
Statewide - 23 106 KA 4314 01 – K-23; from the west K 23/K 156 junction north to the Finney/Lane county line, from the Lane/Finney county line north to the east K- 23/K- 4 junction and from the west K-23/K-4 junction north to the Lane/Gove county line (There will be no work on K-4), overlay, 44.2 miles, Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., Topeka, Ks, $3,225,168.13.
