LARNED — The Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility announced its Outstanding Employees of the 4th Quarter for 2021. They are, Uniformed Employee of the Quarter, Allen Perez, Corrections Officer I; Non-Uniformed Employee, Travis Burger, Electronics Technician Senior; and Contract Employee, Luci Milsap, RN, Centurion Health Services.
Perez began his career with the State of Kansas in December of 1991, at the Larned State Hospital as a Youth Services Specialist I before promoting to a Juvenile Corrections Officer II at the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility in June of 1999. Perez transferred to Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility as a Corrections Officer I in January of 2017.
His nomination reads, “COI Perez often works in the Clinic, which has a constant flow of appointments, sick calls, and other requests and needs. His nomination reads, “Travis has been instrumental in the safe and proper operations of LCMHF. His knowledge and experience has made him an invaluable member of the LCMHF family. His selection as Employee of the Quarter is long overdue.” Burger is an asset to both LCMHF and the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Luci Milsap began working with LCMHF’s health-care provider Centurion in October of 2020 as an RN. Her nomination reads, “RN Milsap brings her knowledge, energy and strong work ethic to every shift. She is a great member of our team.” Milsap is a great asset to both Centurion and LCMHF.
