Club 1 Fitness announced this week the installation of a new Operations Manager, Chris Berger.
Berger has been a long time employee of the club and knows first hand what this family friendly business is all about, said Club 1 owner Caron Zager. “Club 1 has gone through many changes to bring a better experience to our patrons and members, this is by far is one of the biggest and best changes.”
Berger was born and raised in Barton County and currently resides in Ellinwood with his wife, Megan, and their son, Landon. He is a Ellinwood High School, Barton County Community College and Fort Hays State graduate with specialties in health and human performance and athletic training.
“My father began this business in 1974 with a heart to help Central Kansas become healthy and a vision of fitness for the future, and Chris is the perfect candidate to move us forward,” said Zager.
“The legacy that Caron and her father built for the area communities will continue with her retaining ownership, but allowing me to oversee the general day to day operations of the club,” Berger said. “I am so thankful that she saw the same heart in me as she and her father have had for fitness.”
Expanding programs, upgrading equipment and introducing new services are at the forefront of Berger’s plans for Club 1 Fitness’s future.
“One of my favorite quotes is from Tony Robbins, ‘Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.’ As we begin to make changes at Club 1, my hope is that our members, patrons, and staff remember that staying the same has never gotten anyone results and we are all about results at Club 1.”
