OPIs Chapman receives Canon copier training

The new training that Justin Chapman recently received allows him to zero in on the fine points of maintaining Canon copiers as he serves Office Products Inc. customers. Chapman has successfully completed the two-week course in Canon Applied Technologies at Dallas.
Chapman, an OPI technician, said this factory training is crucial to providing the best service to Canon customers.
“This training gives us complete knowledge of the products,” Chapman said, noting he concentrates on the Canon 70 Series ImageRunners. “I can troubleshoot and solve problems without repeated contacts with the customer.”
The technician noted that his colleagues also are trained on the full line of Canon Business Class ImageRunner copiers, which includes a wide array of color, and black-and-white machines.
“This advanced training just shows that OPI takes care of its employees so that we can take care of our customers,” Chapman said. “I have been here five years and can tell you that OPI has a real family feel.
“It functions like a big business but has a genuine sense of family,” he continued. “Going this extra mile for training proves customers come first. We want to keep customers happy and offer the best possible service. This is not just a job – it is a career.”
Chapman, whose background also includes computer and printer technology, is originally from Sacramento, Ca., but he has lived in Kansas for 20 years. He calls Great Bend home now.
Willie Spires, service manager, said Chapman is an integral part of the OPI team.
“Not only is Justin newly trained on the most up-to-date information from Canon, he also is a computer and printer specialist,” Spires said. “He is an excellent all-around technician and we rely on his expertise.”
OPI is located at 1204 Main in Great Bend, 516 Broadway in Larned and 724 N. Main in Russell.
