Surviving Suicide Foundation founders plan meet-and-greet
SuicideSupport2022

Miai (MY-ah) Lewis, left, and Francesca Farmer moved to Great Bend earlier this year and started the Surviving Suicide Foundation with hopes to share prevention support for suicide awareness. They have started a support group that meets every Thursday at 7 p.m. at 1411 Wilson St. They will be at Great Bend Coffee, 2015 Lakin Ave., at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28 for a meet-and-greet. Lewis lost his son to suicide last year and Farmer’s children have struggled with drugs and alcohol. They want to help anyone who is feeling suicidal as well are those who have lost someone to destructive behavior. They can be reached 24/7; call 402-831-1082 for Fran; or 402-831-1165 for Miai. They are also on Facebook.
