When Jan Westfall calls on prospective Fuller Industries customers, she comes bearing her regular business card that happens to be attached to a blinged toilet mop. Westfall recently became the regional sales manager at Fuller.
“I want to make sure people remember me and the great products I represent,” Westfall said. “There are two main things I tell people. One is that everyone cleans their toilets and everyone sweeps their floors.
“Fuller products can handle these tasks and many more,” she added. “We are re-introducing our products all over Kansas and the rest of the country.”
Westfall’s territory includes Kansas and surrounding states. Prospective customers include “just about anybody you can think of,” she said.
For example, the company’s brushes, brooms and other cleaning supplies are used by cities, counties and school districts; oil, agriculture and automotive industries; restaurants; all types of health-care facilities; colleges and universities; and veterinary clinics.
As Westfall makes her rounds in central Kansas, she is hearing positive feedback from business owners and individuals.
“They are so glad Fuller now has someone in the community calling on them,” Westfall said. “We have quality products, exceptional service and competitive pricing.
“And I deliver,” she continued. “Our goal is to make this as convenient as possible for local businesses and individuals – no matter what size the order. It is all about customer service.”
The regional sales manager also said “Fuller’s quality control is just amazing. Those who use our products will soon learn about our high standards.”
In addition to placing orders through Westfall, the public is welcome at Fuller’s Factory Outlet Store. It is on the north side of the plant at 10th and Airport Road. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Westfall noted that the relatively new Fuller management team members are “personally and professionally excited about the new direction of the company. I am excited to be on the ground floor of the start of a new future for Fuller Industries.”
Jon Nix is chief executive officer and Debra F. Powers is chief financial officer. There are also a number of local investors and board members who round out the team.
Westfall was born and raised in Great Bend and has lived here most of her life. She has more than 40 years of sales experience, and is a member of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board, Great Bend Noon Lions Club and the First Presbyterian Church.
In 2014, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce named Westfall Great Bend Citizen of the Year for her “cheerleading” efforts in Barton County. She also is the local face of the Great Bend Farm & Ranch Expo.
