COVID-19 forces City Hall, Events Center closure to public
Facilities to be closed until further notice

Effective 8 p.m. Wednesday, Great Bend City Hall and the Great Bend Events Center are closed to the public until further notice, City Administrator Kendal Francis announced Wednesday night. “A positive COVID-19 case has been identified and the affected staff will quarantine at home until further guidance is received from health officials.”  

He said the city staff remains committed to serving the public via the following methods:

• By calling City Hall at 620-793-4111. Leave a message as staffing is limited.

• By calling the Events Center at 620-282-2673. A Convention and Visitors Bureau meeting scheduled for Friday will conducted virtually.

• By email at lparsons@greatbendks.net, or individual staff email addresses can be obtained from the city website.

• By visiting the city website, www.greatbendks.net.

The city's Front Door facility remains open.
