In its 2023-2024 season, the Golden Belt Community Concert Association will mark its 85th year of providing live high-quality, affordable musical entertainment for the people of the Golden Belt.
Giving a celebratory note to this anniversary season, the association will offer seven concerts for 2023-2024 – one more show than the current season yet with the membership fee remaining at $50 per adult. The membership campaign for the new season begins April 18 and will continue through May 12.
Anyone who is not a member and purchases a membership for the 2023-2024 season by April 22 (the date of this season’s final concert) will be able to attend that concert, Beginnings, ultimate Chicago tribute band, as a Bonus Concert. Memberships can be purchased at the door of that concert.
The seven concerts will offer a variety of music that will keep members excited and looking forward to each new show. The shows will include the following:

Hollywood’s Hottest Little Big Band presents USO dance music from the 1940s with a mix of standards and Disney classics. Nine performers on stage present re-imagined arrangements from the music of timeless eras – Sinatra to Bublé – with rock-star energy.

Music across genres and decades, all leading to Broadway. J. Robert Spencer takes his audiences on the journey he took to achieve his goal of making it on Broadway. He grew up singing classic country, rock and Broadway hits along with the car radio and 8-track tapes. This music helped pave his way to starring in “Jersey Boys” and “Next to Normal.”

Current members will receive their renewal information by regular mail and will be contacted by concert volunteers. Both renewals and new memberships may be purchased from concert volunteers; or online at www.goldenbeltcca.org; by mail, GBCCA, P.O. Box 1795, Great Bend, KS 67530; or in person at the GBCCA campaign headquarters at the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard from noon to 7 p.m. on May 11, or from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 12. Season memberships will be available for $50 for adults; $10 for full-time enrolled students; $110 for a family membership including two adults and all dependent children living in the same household; and $110 for a grandparent package for two adults and up to four minor grandchildren.
Admission to the concerts is by season membership only. No single concert tickets are available. Concerts are held at the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium, Lakin and Stone.
For the second year, the Golden Belt Community Concert Association is offering a no-cost benefit to concert association members – the GBCCA Travel Benefit. With this benefit, renewal and new members receive travel opportunities ideal for individuals, couples, families and groups of friends.
