Alpha Kappa Master met at Connie Carlton’s home on May 9.  The Beta Book drill was on “Official Programs of Beta Sigma Phi.”  

Announcements included the 2022 Women of the Year recently conferred on Alice Clapsaddle at the annual Founder’s Day celebration hosted by Laureate Beta Nu chapter, and the 50th Golden Circle conferred on Marcia King.  

Committee reports included social, Mother’s Day, and publicity. Installation of officers was held: president, Connie Carlton; vice president, Janet Skelton; corresponding secretary, Marcia King; recording secretary, Patty Smith; treasurer, Glenna Melkus, and extension officer, Alice Clapsaddle. Perfect attendance was conferred on Marcis King (44 years perfect), Patty Smith, Janet Skelton, Alice Clapsaddle, Glenna Melkus, Connie Carlton, and Merlene Baird.

The Mother’s Day committee presented the program and included individual Memory Books. Program of the Year was awarded to Connie Carlton and Patty Smith for the Mother’s Day Program.

Beginning Day will be Aug. 29 with details to be announced.
