Alpha Kappa Master holds March meeting

Alpha Kappa Master met on March 11. Marcia King welcomed members of the chapter to a St. Patrick’s Day luncheon and “The Amish Cook: plans for an Amish wedding” program. Business included the Beta Book drill on what is expected of chapters during the month of March, social - an upcoming coffee TBA and an April 6 style show at Glory Be.

Merlene Baird reported on plans for Founder’s Day scheduled at 6 p.m. on April 30 at Sweets and Eats. Assignments were made with discussions on menu, decorations and invitations.

New business included a service project for the following year including donations for a local preschool and election of officers for the 2019-20 year. Elected were: Alice Clapsaddle, president; Merlene Baird, vice president; Margaret Larson, recording secretary; Glenna Melkus, treasurer; Marcia King, corresponding secretary; Patty Smith, extension officer. A social hour followed the meeting.  

The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Alice Clapsaddle at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, for a business meeting followed by a work session for Founder’s Day decorations.
