Alpha Kappa Master met on May 10 at the home of Merlene Baird. 

Committee reports included: courtesy, card to Allen Smith, flower to Connie Carlton and thank you card from Jeannine Girton; social, the Santa Fe Trail Center’s Mother’s Day Tea and Quilt Bed Turning events; service, stuffed animals for the next year; Founder’s Day held in April at the Redener Inn with Marcia King being awarded the Women of the Year.  

New business included a discussion on future Founder’s Day events to be continued at the fall meetings; perfect attendance awards were given to Merlene Baird, Marcia King, Alice Clapsaddle, Wadonna King, and Janet Skelton.

An installation of officers was held: president Connie Carlton, vice president, Merlene Baird, recording secretary Patty Smith, corresponding secretary Marcia King, treasurer Glenna Melkus, extension officer Alice Clapsaddle.  

The Mother’s Day program was presented by Marcia King and Wadonna King. Marcia King was awarded program of the year for the tour of the Roy Peter Bach Car Museum. 

The next meeting will be a social in June.
