Duane and Pat Carlson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a come and go celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Elks Club in Great Bend.
Duane Lloyd Carlson and Patricia Arlone Krinhop were united in marriage on Sept. 18, 1960, at Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church in Chapman. The couple has two sons, Mark and wife Laurie of Overland Park, and Mike and wife Susan of Great Bend; four granddaughters, Shanna and Alexandra of Great Bend and Nicole and Jordan of Overland Park.
Duane worked for Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company for 43 years before retiring. Pat was a secretary for Kansas Farm Bureau for eleven years and for oil companies for 26 years, retiring from National Cooperative Refinery Association.
