Gary and Mary Durland will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Great Bend Senior Center. Hosts for the event will be their children and their families, Delbert and Barbara Downey of Wright, Brian and Jeanette Standlee of Wamego, Carla Durland of Wichita, Dave and Angela Durland of Olathe, and Ron and Diane Durland and Linda Durland, all of Great Bend. The couple has 10 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
Mary Louise Kohn and Gary Durland were united in marriage on Nov. 17, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Spearville.
