Nick and Helen Elsen of Great Bend will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a family dinner at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, at the Holiday Express Inn. Hosts for the event will be their children.
Helen Pohl and Nick Elsen were united in marriage on May 11, 1957, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Willowdale. They are both retired.
The couple has six children, Mark and Pam Elsen of Albert, Brian Elsen of Estes Park, Colo., Gerald Elsen of Great Bend, Kenny and Sheri Elsen of Great Bend, Dennis and Rachel Elsen of Beloit, and Denise and Rusty Karst of Wichita; the late Michael Elsen and Keith Elsen; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
