James and Bonita Jamieson will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Dec. 19, with a small dinner and reception.
Bonnie Wear and Jim Jamieson were united in marriage on Dec. 11, 1965, in Dighton. They moved to Great Bend in 1968, with their two children Rebecca and Bernard, adding to their family, Jerry, in 1974. Jim was employed by Guthrie Trailer Sales for many years, then Guthrie Steaming and Tank, Bird Oil, and finally retiring in 2013, from Sanko’s Service Station. Bonnie, after staying home with their three children, completed her nursing degree at Barton County Community College in 1992, and was employed by Central Kansas Medical Center and is now employed by Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice. The couple has three children, Rebecca and Kevin Boese of Great Bend, Bernard Jamieson and Rebecca Herrman of Ellinwood and Jerry and Lori Jamieson of Artesia, N.M.; and five grandchildren.
