P.D. and Mary Frances (Fritzie) Smith will celebrate their 60th anniversary on June 15 with a family dinner.
Mary Frances Welsh and P.D. Smith were united in marriage on June 13, 1953, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend. The couple moved to Great Bend in 1994 when P.D. retired from farming in the Pawnee Rock area. They have five children, David and JoAnn Smith, Liz and Kyle Schartz, Mark and Dayna Smith, Craig and Kari Smith, all of Great Bend, and Larry Smith of
Wichita; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
