Students in Mark Mock’s seventh-grade woodworking course at Stafford Middle/High School were asked to make 30 birdhouses for a local farmer. The mass-production project wrapped up just before the Thanksgiving break. “They did a great job,” Mock said, commenting on the tremendous teamwork. They undertook this project after completing personal projects. The course explores the woodworking industry and touches on power, energy, and transportation systems, and many STEM learning opportunities.
