Wayne Banks

Wayne Edward (“Buzz”) Banks was honored by the Grand Masonic Lodge on Oct. 1, with the presentation of his 75th Homecoming pinning. Over 50 people were in attendance to watch the rare celebration of a Masonic Lodge member receiving a diamond pin for 75 years of active, dedicated service.

Banks’ award was presented by Derik Hockett, Grand Senior Warden, along with numerous members from Lewis, Ulysses, Pratt, Wichita, Great Bend and Hoisington Masonic Lodge #331, his home lodge for 75 years.

Banks, who became a Mason in 1948, is now 98 years old and remains an active member of both the Hoisington and Great Bend lodges. He has held all but two levels of service in his time as a member, and is probably not finished yet.

A reception hosted by the Hoisington Lodge #331 followed the ceremony.
