Ted and Ingrid Bird celebrated their 60th anniversary with a trip planned by their family to the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo. earlier this summer. 

Ted and Ingrid were married Oct. 15, 1961 in Great Bend, at the Methodist Church. Ted is a retired farmer and Ingrid is a retired bank teller from UMB Bank of Great Bend and Farmers Bank and Trust of Albert. 

The couple have two sons and one daughter, Thomas Bird and wife Gah of Colorado, Stefan Bird and wife Valarie of Portland, Ore., and Carolyn Bird of San Jose, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Sam and Zach Bird of Colorado and Nicholas and Anna Bird of Portland, Ore.
