Bernita Degenhardt of Great Bend will celebrate her 90th birthday with a Come-and-Go Reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 4, at the First Christian Church, 5230 Broadway in Great Bend. No gifts are requested.
Bernita Degenhardt was born on June 6, 1926, in Hays. On Sept. 20, 1943, she married Walter Degenhardt. He died in Oct. 1985. She has five sons, Larry (Shirley) Degenhardt and Louis Degenhardt of Great Bend, Lloyd (Leeta) Degenhardt of Afton, Okla., Leon (Paula) Degenhardt of Muskogee, Okla., Richard Degenhardt of Pratt and one daughter, Kathy (Brett) Foster of Great Bend; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.
