George Tregellas will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Highland Hotel pool area. Hosts for the event will be his children, Michael and Brenda Tregellas of Lambertville, N.J. and Robert and Deborah Baker of Carlsbad, Calif. They request no gifts.
George Tregellas was born on Oct. 28, 1921 in Pratt. He was raised in Pratt and graduated from Pratt Community College in 1941. It was during his college years that he met Cleo Marie Hayes, also from Pratt and they were married Feb 22, 1942 at the Foundry Methodist Church in Washington D.C. George and Cleo moved to Great Bend in 1943 where George started his oil field construction business which he operated for nearly 50 years before retirement in 1995. Cleo died in January 1997.  George married Frances Skolaut in December 1998 and they currently reside in Sun City, Ariz.
