Maxine Rogers of Great Bend will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house, from 2 to 4 p.m on March 26 at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. in Great Bend, hosted by her family, friends and the Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Friends and relatives are invited. She requests no gifts.
Mrs. Rogers was born March 27, 1911, in Larned. She graduated from Larned High School in 1929 and moved to Great Bend that same year. She married Preston J. Rogers on Jan. 2, 1932, at Ellinwood. He died May 3, 1988. She is a retired pet shop owner and has been a Senior Center volunteer for the past 29 years.
