Steve and Karma Byers will celebrate their 40th anniversary on July 21. They were married on July 21, 1984, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend. 

Steve is a retired diesel mechanic having worked at Central Power Systems and Karma is semi-retired and working at the Great Bend Tribune. Their children are Ray Byers and fiancee Becky Devine of Hoisington and the late Ryan Byers. Parents of the couple are the late Ray and Betty Byers of Great Bend, Richard and Jeanie Miller of Great Bend, and Jan Lohrding and the late Curtis Lohrding of Bella Vista, Ark.
