Third through eighth grade students are being introduced to coding on Thursdays at Ellinwood School/Community Library! Joseph Kern, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, facilitates the activities and leads students to understand the value of programming as a form of creative expression.  Students plan creative stories, design their instructions, and refine their results. Resources are shared to help students find more programming websites and apps for continued growth. This Hour-of-Code activity will be used to gauge youth interest in developing more long-term coding activities at our school/community library. Times vary to meet the needs of all of our youth, so please contact the library at 564-2306 if you are interested in participating. If you have a laptop and headphones for your child to use, please bring them with you. A limited amount of computers/iPads will be available.
