Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! Christmas is in the air at the library next Monday, because Santa is coming to town! December 12 at 6:30 p.m., Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be here to sing Christmas carols, enjoy tasty treats with us, and read us a Christmas story. Each child will have the opportunity to talk to Santa and receive a special gift. Monday is also our next Teen Café, where we will be de-stressing while enjoying coffee and cocoa from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Next Thursday is this month’s Trivia Night at Dry Lake Brewery! In the spirit of the season, test your holiday knowledge while you enjoy local craft beers. Pre-registration is open on our website now for teams of one to eight individuals. You can also register in person at Dry Lake before trivia begins. If you are planning on registering on the day of, we ask that you arrive early at 6:30 p.m. to allow for time to get everyone’s teams ready to go for trivia at 7 p.m.
Starting Friday, December 16, come to grab our latest Teen Take & Make, Space Bean Hand Warmers. It’s cold getting thrown out of an airlock, so pick up a kit with everything you need to make your own “sus” little friend.
Last but not least, the deadline is coming up for our Cardboard Gingerbread House Contest. Style recycled materials to look like a gingerbread house and submit your creation by December 16 to see if you will be crowned the Gingerbread House Master!
