On Jan. 16, seven Barton County 4H’ers traveled to Sedgwick County to compete in the first 4H air rifle match of the 2016 season.
There were 63 participants from 14 counties at the match this year.
In the 12 to 14 year old division, Will Clark from Great Bend finished 8th.
In the 15 year old division, Parker Smith from Great Bend finished 2nd and Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood finished 3rd.
In the 16 year old division, Jace Schwager from Great Bend finished 8th.
In the 17 to 18 year old division, Ryan Kohman from Great Bend finished 8th and Lake Lyman from Ellinwood finished 11th.
The Barton County team of Kohman, Lyman, Reh and Smith placed 3rd in the team competition.
