4-H air rifle season wraps up

The State of Kansas 4-H Air Rifle Match was held April 29 in Alma.
The event was attended by 97 4-H’ers from across the state. They were all competing for the chance to qualify for the opportunity to be on the four-person team that will represent Kansas 4-H at the 2017 National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational in Grand Island, Neb., the last week of June.
Ten 4-H’ers from Barton county attended the match.
In the Junior Division (9-13 years old), Emma Mayhill from Great Bend and Will Clark from Great Bend represented Barton County. Mayhill placed 8th in the overall scores and had the 3rd highest standing position score in the division. Clark placed 9th overall in the division.
In the Senior Division (14-18 years old), Barton County was represented by Lake Lyman, Woodson Corbett and Katelyn Reh, all from Ellinwood; Dalton Dicks, and Parker Smith, Caleb Straub, Collin Hammond and Evan Hammond, all from Great Bend.
The Barton County Team was Lake Lyman, Parker Smith, Katelyn Reh and Dalton Dicks. The team placed 6th overall.
