4-H Spring Shooting Sports State Match

On April 28, nine Barton County 4-H’ers traveled to Garden City to compete in the 2018 4-H Spring Shooting Sports State Match. They were among the 300 4-H’ers from across the state who converged on the Finney County Fair Grounds to compete.
In the 8 to 13 year old, junior, division of the Air Rifle competition, Parker Dicks of Great Bend and Tate Martin from Ellinwood represented Barton County.
In the 14 to 18 year old, senior, division of the Air Rifle competition, Parker Smith from Great Bend, Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood, Alivia Bautista from Great Bend, Woodson Corbett from Ellinwood, Will Clark from Ellinwood, Cameron Stacy from Great Bend and Gus Corbett from Ellinwood represented Barton County.
The Barton County Air Rifle Team of Woodson Corbett, Alivia Bautista, Katelyn Reh and Parker Smith placed sixth.
Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood was the only Barton County 4H’er to compete in the Air Pistol match. She competed in the Open Class Pistol event and placed 10th.
