On Feb. 28, three Barton county 4h’ers battled the winter weather to travel to Cimarron to compete in the Gray County 4-H air rifle match.
In the 15 year old and older division, Jace Schwager from Great Bend, placed 1st.
In the 13 and 14 year old division, Parker Smith, from Great Bend, placed 1st and Katelyn Reh from Ellinwood placed 2nd.
Parker had the high score of the match.
The 3 person team from Barton county placed 3rd in the match against teams from other counties that were made up of 4 competitors.
The Barton County air rifle competitors travel to Hays on March 7 to compete in the NW Kansas Shooting Sports Invitational.
