The Central Kansas Thread Benders Quilt Guild announces their annual presentation by Pat Knoechel from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, at the First Presbyterian Church, 24th & Washington. Pat will share tips, tricks, new products and patterns. This year, she will feature Quilt in a Day’s Pineapple and the Nouveau Wedding Ring patterns. The Pineapple quilt is made from jelly roll or layer cake strips sewn in rounds of four before trimming the corners with a square ruler. A circle pattern is revealed when all the blocks converge. Pat’s Wedding Ring quilt is a variation of the traditionally pieced design using a modern, fusible technique of appliqué.
