The 2016-2017 Great Bend Pilot International Ambassador is Lynette Blakeslee. Lynette has been an active and passionate member of the Great Bend Pilot club since 2011 and served in director positions and on committees in various divisions. Our Pilot International Foundation Representative Mary Lou Stewart presents Lynette with her award for sharing her true Pilot Spirit and using her talents for the club and our community. The club will make a donation to Pilot International to honor and recognize Lynette as this year’s Great Bend Pilot International Ambassador.
The Great Bend club membership each year chooses among its members one member that exemplifies the attributes of a Pilot. The member chosen as the PI Ambassador must be active in an assigned role within the club, promote and support the aims of Pilot International and its activities, be active in a project that exemplifies the brain-related service focus of the Pilot International and be faithful in attending meetings and give generously of her time to assist with service projects and fund-raising activities.
Pilot International Foundation was established in 1975 to support the community-based work of Pilot Clubs by promoting the awareness and prevention of brain-related disorders, and improving the lives of those affected by such disorders, through education, volunteerism, financial support, and research. Each year, the Great Bend Pilot Club supports the efforts of Pilot International through a multitude of activities.
