he Hoisington jets 4-H club met on Sunday, Sept. 24. Following a pot luck dinner, a formal meeting took place which included discussion of a number of items: fundraisers, community service opportunities, shooting sports, a public speaking contest, ski trip, Junior Leadership and an upcoming Achievement Banquet. Club officers for the new year were elected and include Tiffany Schneider, president; Kayla Reisner vice president; Kayliegh Bitter, secretary; and Noah Desmond, treasurer.
The club has also committed to participating in National 4-H Week – Oct. 7-13 as a way to inform people about 4-H and recruit new members and participants.
During the week, look for 4-H projects will be displayed at the public library. Posters will be put up in the schools and some information will be distributed. Current members will also take advantage of opportunities to discuss 4-H with their peers. Any youth in the third grade or older is invited to the next 4-H jets meeting at HHS on Monday, Oct. 22.
