2016-2017 Rotary District 5670 Governor Randy Krug and his wife, Cathy are greeted by 2016-2017 Rotary International President John Germ and his wife, Judy in San Diego, Calif. during the 2016 International Assembly.

Randy Krug, a Salina financial advisor, was installed as Governor of Rotary International District 5670 during a recent ceremony.
Born and raised in Russell, he joined the Rotary Club of Russell, served as club president in 2009-10, and as an assistant district governor during 2011-13. He was a volunteer firefighter in Russell before moving to Salina and joining the Salina Fire Department. He joined an investment firm in 1993 as an “off duty” day job, leaving the fire department in 2000 to be a full-time financial advisor. Over the years, he created a niche market in his industry, developing benefit packages for over 200 Kansas fire departments while becoming one of the leading advisors for his firm in the nation. He returned with his family to Russell in 2005, at which time he joined the Russell Rotary Club.
Krug and his wife, Cathy, have three children and three grandchildren. Reaching the “empty nest” phase of their lives, the Krugs returned to Salina in 2013. He maintains offices in Russell and Salina that allow him to continue involvement in the Russell Rotary Club. He has held other community leadership roles, serving both Russell and Salina as a planning commissioner and being a co-founder of a Salina independent Christian school.
Krug is one of 530 Rotary District Governors that provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to more than 1.2 million Rotarians in over 3,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide, fostering achievement in their district at the club level. RI District 5670 is comprised of over 1,100 Rotarians in 30 Rotary Clubs serving 29 communities of Northwest and North Central Kansas.
