League of Women Voters of Great Bend will hold the monthly meeting at noon on Tuesday at Classic Inn. Lunch will be from the buffet or the menu.
The program will be given by Jim Johnson from Sunflower Services The topic will be the effect the budget cuts from the state had on the number of services the organization can offer and the number of staff that had to be cut and positions not filled. They need more staff and more services on a tighter budget than before. We have a growing need for help to the population who must have special services, and the money is just not there for use. He will be addressing these problems and answering questions and concerns about these changes.
The public may attend and time will be allowed from the floor for your questions and comments. All League members are encouraged to attend and participate. Lunch is informal and dialog is always expected. Guests, both men and women, are welcome.
