Golden Sheaf Chapter #226, Great Bend, Order of the Eastern Star, met at the Hoisington Masonic Lodge Hall at 7:30 p.m on Oct. 15 at a regularly stated meeting.
Karen Hare, guest, from Anthony Chapter #187, Order ofthe Eastern Star, presented a meaningful and delightful message from the Grand Chapter of Kansas. She serves on the Grand Committee for Membership.
Golden Sheaf voted to donate $100 to the 2012 Samaritans Purse Campaign, also known as the “Christmas Child Shoebox” Campaign. The Great Bend First United Methodist Church is the local headquarters for the 2012 season.
Golden Sheaf also voted to donate $50 to the Great Bend Food Bank for the 2012 season.
The chapter voted to celebrate their Christmas party on Dec. 3 at The Classic Inn in Great Bend.
Next meeting date will be Nov. 5 and will exemplify the degrees.
Refreshments of pop and pizza were served in the dining hall.
