Order of the Eastern Star Chapters, Golden Sheaf Chapter 226 of Great Bend, and Queen Esther Chapter 32 of Lyons, joined in celebration of membership for both chapters for their 25, 50, 60, 70 and 75-year members at a special pin ceremony held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the Hoisington Masonic Lodge at Hoisington. Worthy Grand Matron Wanda Ryan, Carbondale Chapter 38; Acting Worthy Grand Patron Steven Boyer, Valley Center Chapter 237; PGP Darrell Shanteau, Great Bend Chapter 226; and PGP Robert Ott Medicine Lodge Chapter 39 were all present and officiated the pin presentation.
Members invited to receive their respective pins were: (25-year membership), JoDee Samples of Chapter 226 and James Speakman of Chapter 32; (50-year membership), Joyce Buffington of Chapter 32, Ann Tennent of Chapter 226, Richard Tennant of Chapter 226, Ed Ummel of Chapter 226 and Linda Yehle of Chapter 226; (60-year membership), Phyllis Denison and Twila Mitchell of Chapter 32, and Julia Keeling, Barbara Nuss and Vernon White of Chapter 226; (70-year membership), Arleen Branson, Ann Cochennet and Stella Siehndel of Chapter 32; and (75-year membership) Deborah Praeger of Chapter 226.
