The Parnassus Club met on Oct. 14, at the home of Coralie Button. Parnassus is a long standing study group with an interest in music.
This year the study will be about the Tone Poem, also known as a Symphonic Poem. The program was given by Coralie Button. “The Moldau” by Bed rich Smetana is a classic example of the symphonic poem. This form of composition is meant to evoke through music, images of a story, novel, painting, landscape, or poem. The Club members enjoyed hearing” The Moldau.”
The next meeting will be at the home of Sharon Jones. Becky Dudrey will present the program.
