Preceptor Pi honors members and installs new officers at years end

Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma presented Woman of the Year and Sister of the Year awards and installed new officers as the 2014-15 sorority year drew to a close.The chapter honored Susan Coulson, president, as Woman of the Year and Brenda Black as Sister of the Year at the Great Bend Beta Sigma Phi Founder’s Day celebration April 28.New officers for 2015-16, who were installed at the May 5, meeting, are Jeri Brozek, president; Lois Johnson, vice president; Rosie Luthi, treasurer; and Brenda Black, secretary.At the chapter’s April 7, meeting, Rachel Mawhirter represented Prairie Godmothers in a program explaining the purpose of the organization – women helping women. The group has 230 members and has given 35 grants since January 2014. Each chapter member gave a donation and became part of the organization to help women in need.On April 21, the chapter met first at Rosewood Studio and Industrial Kitchen on North Washington for a program presented by Debbie Warren, who directs projects providing gainful employment for the special needs population.
