League of Women Voters of Great Bend will meet at noon on Tuesday at Classic Inn.
The program will be provided by Barton County Treasurer Jim Jordan. He will be discussing the problems he inherited when he took office. It has been an internal problem to get the book work and the protocol of the treasurer’s office straightened out. He will address the audience by giving them his background and then will open the floor for questions about anything dealing with the office. He will answer to the best of his ability questions about anything happening in the office or taxes.
Lunch will be available from the buffet or menu. Meetings are open to the public. League is a non-partisan organization devoted to informing and educating the voting public on national, state and local issues of importance. Membership is open to men and women.
