Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 Auxiliary meeting

The VFW Post 3111 Auxiliary met on Aug. 23, at the Post home. Fifteen members were present.
Three new members were welcomed into the Auxiliary, Brenda Lebbin, Coleen McCoy and Trudy Nail. It was reported that two graduates from Great Bend High School were presented scholarships of $1,000 each.
New project for the Post and Auxiliary was discussed and the Auxiliary will help the post fund a PSD service dog for a veteran of the post. It was also decided to support “Voice of Democracy” and “Patriot Pin” programs with the post.
Elected to office of Senior Vice President was Lonnie Willard and Jr. Vice President elected was Jonathan Nail.
The Auxiliary supported donations to Kansas Cottage, for veterans and their families.
The next meeting will be Sept. 27, at the Post Home, 504 Washington.
