Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 and its Ladies Auxiliary met on Jan. 24 at the Post Home.
Deborah L. Lamb was accepted into membership.
The charter was draped in memory of Gold Star Mother Kathryn Saenz, Maxine Krallman and Betty Rajewski.
A report was given on decorating the doors of veterans in the nursing homes at Christmas.
Valentines will be taken to the residents in the nursing homes on  Valentine’s Day.
The members were reminded to fly their flag on Jan. 29 - Kansas Day; Feb. 12 - Lincoln’s birthday; Feb. 20 - Presidents’ Day (Washington’s birthday observed); and Feb. 22 - Washington’s birthday.
The next meeting will be held on Feb. 28 at the Post Home.
