Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 and its Ladies Auxiliary met on Sept. 27 at the Post Home.
The following guests attended the Auxiliary meeting: Seventh District Auxiliary President Virginia Copeland and her granddaughter, and Stephanie Epley of Auxiliary 1164 Kingman.
The Chapter was draped in memory of Auxiliary members Lola Bell of Macksville and Brenda Johnson of Nickerson.
The following donations were mad: $90 in memory of nine deceased Gold Star Mothers to Cancer Aid and Research; $2 per member to Cancer Aid and Research; and $100 to Kans for Kids.
Make a Difference Day is Saturday Oct. 29. It was decided the Auxiliary purchase $200 worth of groceries and give it to the Food Bank.
Five hundred poppies were ordered to be sold in November.
The Auxiliary was inspected by District President Virginia Copeland.
The next meeting will be held on Oct. 25 at the Post Home.
