Dwight and Laverne Curry will celebrate their 70th anniversary on Dec. 26, with a card shower. A family dinner with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren is also planned.

Laverne Langrehr and Dwight Curry were united in marriage on Dec. 26, 1952 at the home of the brides parents.

The couple have two children, Myrna Schrepel of Hoisington and Kevin Curry and wife T.J. of Baldwin City; three grandchildren, Chadd Schrepel and wife Erin of Gardner, Todd Schrepel and Angela Schrepel, both of Hoisington; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Callie Schrepel of Gardner.
