Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! We’re excited to announce that our fall programming resumes next Friday! As usual, we have lots of activities planned for all ages this semester, and you can pick up our newsletter at the front desk, which we’ve changed up a bit this time. Instead of releasing updates on a monthly basis, the information for all of our events from September through December will be in one big issue. We hope this will make it easier for everyone to mark their calendars with all of the events they would like to attend, so be sure to stop by and grab a copy so you can see what there is to look forward to.
We have a few programs to start the semester off on Friday, September 3. For teens grades 6-12, we’re hosting the first of our monthly Casual Game Fridays in the Teen Spot. Join us from 3:30 p.m. until close for some friendly battles in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While you’re here, pick up a T-Shirt Bracelet Take & Make kit (while supplies last).
For patrons 18 and older, our Adults’ Night Out Movie will start at 7 p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Room. This is an after-hours event, so our north doors will be open from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Free water and popcorn will be provided.
Children’s events begin in a couple more weeks with Family Story Time and Pet Partner Read to Luna, so keep an eye on our Facebook and our website, greatbendpl.info, for updates on these and other upcoming programs. You can also message us on Facebook or email us at gbcirc@gmail.com. We can also be reached via phone at 620-792-2409.
