In October the Fort Larned Chapter of NSDAR joined the NSDAR Chapter from Hays in the pinning ceremony for Thank an Vietnam Veteran. Brenda VanMeter shared a report on Buck and Ball. Buck and Ball was a common load for muzzle-loading muskets, and was frequently used in the American Revolutionary War and into early days of the American Civil War.
On Nov. 11, members served breakfast for the veterans at the Larned VFW.
On Nov. 13, the club met at Jordaan Memorial Library. It was reported that the veterans breakfast went well. Donna, Merlene, Donnitta, Sharon, Kathleen, Cathy, Janet and Cynthia served the food. Food was prepared by the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion Members.
The next meeting will be Dec. 11.
